Berman Truck Group has a proud history dating back to the
1930s when brothers Albert and Emmanuel Berman began selling White AutoCar
trucks. Becoming a Freightliner dealer in the late 1970s, the company grew
under Peter McCarron, who purchased it in 1992 after working in the industry
since 1976.
Over the years, Berman expanded its footprint:
January 2021: Acquired Midway Truck Service with over 60
years of industry expertise.
October 2021: Added Murray’s Freightliner/Western Star, a
family-operated business since 1968.
March 2023: Acquired Ringler Motors, one of the oldest
Western Star dealers in Pennsylvania.
September 2023: Relocated Ringler Motors from Johnstown to a
state-of-the-art dealership in Ebensburg, PA.
March 2025: Acquired Penn View Equipment, a trusted parts
and service provider since 1970.
April 2025: Acquired Eck's Garage, a family-run Freightliner
dealership serving the Muncy area for over 50 years.
Today, with five dealership locations and dedicated parts
and service centers across Pennsylvania, Berman Truck Group, along with its
affiliate Horwith Freightliner, offers quick turnaround times, an extensive
parts inventory, and a wide selection of new and pre-owned equipment. We remain
committed to delivering top-tier service and support.
